Last weekend Artifacts own Alek Zalewski earned himself second place in the finals of the Schooled series. It took place at Rye Airfield on Saturday June 20. Alek got second place in the street and first place in the mini ramp, we wont talk about the bowl. But he skated well enough to get second. Nate Greenwood ended up taking top honors in the series, congrats Nate. Check back with us soon for pictures from the event. And if you see Alek be sure to tell him how proud you are of him, I know I am. We love you Alek. But, your still off the team!

Justin Strubing’s pro model shoe. It has Vulcanized construction, Suede and canvas upper, Shocksorb EVA insole, and Vox I.R.S. Gel system. This shoe is light weight and has a thinly padded collar and tongue.

The Trooper is Vox’s team model. It has a vulcanized sole, Synthetic Nubuc upper, Vox I.R.S. Gel system, Shocksorb EVA insoles,and sticky gum rubber outsole. This is a great, simple shoe.

Hopefully everyone knows next Sunday is national Go Skateboarding Day. So wake up early and head for the streets! Artifact skate team will be out there in full force. We will be going to some street spots around CT and then heading down to Haven Skate Park for a BBQ. The festivities start at 4:30 pm, its $5 to skate or $10 gets you free BBQ and Red Bull. There will be games of Skate Dice and other fun things going on. Later that night we will be having a bowl jam for the 18 and over crowd. For more info please visit Havens site. See you there!
